The Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Language Technologies at Comillas Pontifical University is an officialfour-year degree programme(240 ECTS) delivered face-to-face at the Cantoblanco Campus in Madrid. The programme, which forms part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Comillas CIHS),is the only Bachelor's Degree in Spain that combines training in translation and interpreting with language technologies, generative artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs). Students studythree foreign languages, with the option of a fourth world language, and develop skills in computational linguistics, post-editing, machine translation and linguistic data management. With 60 places and an approach that integrates the Humanities, AI and Technology (HIT), Comillas prepares professionals capable of leading the digital transformation of the translation and multilingual communication sector.
In the current context, characterised by the emergence of new AI technologies and an era of unprecedented international communication, this pioneering Bachelor's Degree responds to a growing demand in the labour market. With the Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Language Technologies, you will become a specialist in the technologies that enable artificial intelligence applied to language: linguistic data systems, machine translation and machine writing, chatbots, speech recognition, computational linguistics, and other emerging linguistic technologies.
The programme includes training in three foreign languages and prepares you to embark on your professional degree in strategic sectors such as communication, technology and language services. In addition, you will be able to study for the Diploma in a Fourth World Language, an in-house (non-official) qualification that complements your training with an additional language, thereby strengthening your international and multilingual profile.

This degree programme has been designed at Comillas Pontifical University to provide its graduates with new competitive advantages in a field with great potential for growth in the context of globalisation in the new digital age. Students will receive a high-quality education, which requires them to demonstrate responsibility and a positive attitude towards learning, change and innovation.
Admission to the degree programme is open to students from the following university entry streams: Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology, and Bio-health; it is recommended that applicants possess the ability for numerical, logical and abstract reasoning.
The minimum language proficiency required for admission is C1 in Spanish and B2 in English, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference.
