The Double Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Language Technologies and International Communication/Bachelor’s Degree in Global Communication at Comillas CIHS is an official five-year on-campus programme taught in Madrid, which enables students to obtain both the Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Language Technologies and the Bachelor's Degree in Global Communication. This dual Bachelor's Degree in translation and international communication combines linguistic and technological training (including generative artificial intelligence, machine translation and large language models (LLMs)) with strategic skills in communication, international relations and intercultural management.
It is aimed at students witha passion for languages, intercultural communication and new language technologies, who are seeking an international and multilingual Degree. A high level of Spanish (C1) and a good command of English (B2) are required, as well asan interest in learning a third and, optionally, a fourth foreign language.
Theprogramme combines training in translation and interpreting, computational linguistics, programming applied to natural language processing, machine translation and tradumatics, alongside subjects on strategic communication, storytelling, international communication management, digital marketing and data analysis. On completion, students are awardedtwo official degrees and are eligible for the Diploma in a Fourth World Language.
It is the only dual Bachelor's Degree programme in Spain that combines translation and interpreting with language technologies, generative artificial intelligence and bilingual international communication (at least 50 per cent of the International Communication module is taught in English), opening up career opportunities as a language technology specialist and LLM, an international communications manager or a strategic communications consultant.

- Entry Requirements
The Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Language Technologies, together with the Diploma in a Fourth World Language (optional), is aimed at anyone interested in mastering the new applications of Artificial Intelligence in language; those who wish to embrace the digital revolution, the international arena, literature and cultures. Applicants are required to have a high level of proficiency in Spanish, a good command of English and an interest in other languages. Our students are characterised by their eagerness to learn and intellectual curiosity, and are prepared to devote themselves wholeheartedly to their studies throughout the four-year Degree programme.
The minimum language proficiency required for admission is C1 in Spanish and B2 in English, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference.

The programme equips graduates with a combination of linguistic, technological and strategic communication skills that are in high demand amongst companies and institutions.
The Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Language Technologies is a four-year degree programme focusing on translation, interpreting and AI applied to language. The Double Degree programme adds a fifth year leading to a Bachelor's Degree in Global Communication, with modules in bilingual international communication, institutional relations and strategic communication management, resulting in two official degrees awarded simultaneously.
A high standard of Spanish is required, along with a minimum proficiency level of C1 in Spanish and B2 in English, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Furthermore, an interest in learning a third foreign language – and, optionally, a fourth – through the Diploma in a Fourth World Language is highly regarded.
It is an in-house (non-official) qualification which students on the Double Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Interpreting and International Communication may take as an optional module to complement their studies with a fourth foreign language, thereby strengthening their international and multilingual profile.
