What can the Master’s offer you?
This programme is designed to enable students to achieve the highest level in Telecommunications Engineering, complementing the official Master’s degree with a specialisation in Cybersecurity.
The Master’s in Telecommunications Engineering (MIT) is an official master’s degree that meets the requirements laid down by law, and students will be eligible to join the Official Association of Telecommunications Engineers of Spain in order to practise the legally regulated profession of Telecommunications Engineer. Furthermore, the MIT holds the European EurACE quality mark.
The Master’s in Cybersecurity (MCS) complements students’ training with techniques and protective measures relating to the security of communications, applications, information systems and infrastructure.
Specialisation in cybersecurity is currently one of the most sought-after fields across all economic sectors and is essential for the digital transformation of society.
The programme is designed to enable students to develop the skills and competencies covered by both Master’s degrees over two academic years, with the opportunity to undertake paid work placements in companies across various sectors to enhance their training and help fund the programme.

As there is high demand for places at Comillas and places are limited, the best candidates must be selected through entrance examinations.
Each class has a form tutor, whose role is to help students settle into the class and ensure they achieve good academic results. Furthermore, at Comillas, the teaching system is characterised, amongst other things, by personalised support and a close, ongoing relationship between teachers and students.
Comillas’ teaching system is specifically geared towards engaging with the real-world context of businesses, institutions and organisations, and professional practice. The Degree Guidance, Work Placements and Employment Service (OPE) is responsible for helping students secure work placements related to their studies in order to enhance their education. In the 2022–23 academic year, 7,101 student work placements in companies were arranged.
The Career Guidance, Work Placements and Employment Service (OPE) is the university service dedicated to providing information, guidance and support to help recent graduates enter the labour market and to assist Comillas graduates in planning their degree paths; To this end, it offers an online tool that connects candidates directly with 8,302 companies with which Comillas has established relationships. During the 2022–23 academic year, 1,542 job vacancies were managed. Of the total number of graduates from the 2021 cohort, 92 per cent were in employment—either working or continuing their studies—within six months of completing their studies.
