What is the Double Degree in Business Administration and Management and Gastronomy and Culinary Innovation?

The Double Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE) and in Gastronomy and Culinary Innovation (MACC) offers the possibility of studying, on the one hand, the functions of business management in a global economic environment, which qualifies for professional practice in all business areas; and, on the other hand, it comprehensively addresses the relationship between gastronomy, business and agronomy, which makes it a unique degree in the world, which allows to meet the challenges and needs of an expanding sector that needs new professionals, highly prepared, dynamic and bold. The combination of the two degrees also boosts students' entrepreneurial and innovation skills.

In short, with this double degree you will simultaneously study the basic and advanced subjects in Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Management and Organisation, Economics, Quantitative Methods and modern languages, typical of the Degree in Business Administration and Management, together with those linked to Gastronomy (Culinary Techniques, Cookery, Sweet World, Sommelier, R&D applied to the gastronomic field, etc.) and Agronomy (Biology, Biology and Chemistry, etc.).) and Agronomy (Biology and Food Technology, Sustainability...), which will enable you to develop in any of the professional opportunities linked to business and, additionally, to all those associated with the gastronomic world.

ENTRANCE PROFILE Double Degree in Business Administration and Management and Gastronomy and Culinary Innovation (E2+GASTRONOMY):

The main personal and academic characteristics that make up the recommended entry profile for the Double Degree in Business Administration and Management and in Gastronomy and Culinary Innovation are: Interest in gastronomy and gastronomic business; Interest in innovation and entrepreneurship; Interest in the global dimension of business activity and gastronomy. This Double Degree requires new students to have proactive attitudes and aptitudes to learn the knowledge and competences of the professional profile in the field of business management in a global world and, additionally, all the professional opportunities associated with the gastronomic world.

New students are expected to be very interested in learning about the national and international economic reality, with special emphasis on recognising the value of the gastronomic ecosystem, and with a desire to become an agent of social transformation.

In order to begin your studies, it is an essential condition to accredit that you meet the legal requirements for access to the University.

  • Because Comillas studies are in high demand and places are limited, the best candidates have to be selected through admission tests.

  • Each class has its own tutor, whose function is to integrate the student into the group and to pay attention to their academic performance. Furthermore, at Comillas, the teaching system is distinguished, among other characteristics, by the personalised attention and the fluid and permanent relationship between teachers and students.

  • The Comillas education system is especially oriented towards the relationship with the reality of companies, institutions, organisations and professional practice. The Careers, Internships and Employment Guidance Service (OPE) is responsible for providing students with internships related to their studies in order to enrich their training. In the 2022-23 academic year, 7,101 student internships in companies were managed.

  • The Professional Careers, Internships and Employment Guidance Service (OPE) is the University's service dedicated to informing, guiding and collaborating in the insertion of recent graduates in the labour market or in the projection of the professional careers of Comillas graduates, for which it has an online tool that directly connects candidates with 8,302 companies with which Comillas maintains a relationship. During the 2022-23 academic year, 1,542 job offers were managed. Of the total number of graduates from the 2021 graduating class, 92% are employed, either working or furthering their studies, within six months of completing their studies.
