The DBA in Management and Technology is officially inaugurated

The DBA in Management and Technology, which is jointly offered by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (Comillas ICADE) and the School of Engineering (Comillas ICAI), was officially inaugurated with an event presided over by the Rector of the University, Julio L. Martínez, SJ, accompanied by José María Álvarez-Pallete, Executive President of Telefónica, who was responsible for delivering the inaugural address.

During his presentation, which was entitled "A Tale of Two Cities", Álvarez-Pallete reminded the audience that "we are not aware of the digital trace that we leave behind us. We must take control of our destiny. " The Chairman of Telefónica also referred to the issue of multi-tasking. “Our children are capable of doing two or three things at the same time. This fact substantially modifies productivity, and will have a direct impact on the economy”. The Rector, during his presentation, described the new program as a "great learning community" based on the synergies between different but related areas of knowledge and practice.

Also present, as distinguished authorities, were the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (Comillas ICADE), Teresa Corzo, and the Director of the School of Engineering (Comillas ICAI), Antonio Muñoz. Muñoz pointed out that "this alliance is what has allowed us to offer a different and innovative product, which has been created from the experience of the combined trademarks of Comillas ICADE and Comillas ICAI in the Business, Legal and Technological areas of knowledge, and which has been enhanced by the Humanistic tradition of our University".  Along these same lines, the Dean of Economics and Business Administration expressed her thanks to the Faculty of Law (Comillas ICADE), and to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Comillas CIHS), for their collaboration in the implementation of the new program.

The DBA in Management and Technology is a Doctorate program for executives and is aimed at those professionals who have cultivated an outstanding professional career and who would like to gain first-hand knowledge on the latest trends in Management, Technology and Humanism. The program represents a three-year commitment during which students combine advanced training courses with research and innovation, which leads to the Degree of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).
