Comillas Pontifical University has taken part in the conference "Digital Innovation and agile teams: drivers of service exellence", organised by Rafael Landívar Jesuit University from Guatemala. There, the Vice-Rector of Organization and Digital Transformation, José María Ortiz, reflected on the experience of digital transformation at Comillas and the way people, processes and technologies have to be balanced in this process.
Additionally, Ortiz, accompanied by Erica Paola Carpio, lecturer and independent consultant in different universities and institutions in Mexico, and Guillermo Maureira, manager of information technologies in San Fernando, VI region in Chile, talked about the importance of digital transformation in universities and, from the experience of Comillas, recommended actions to carry out at Rafael Landívar University.
As Ortiz stated during his speech to more than 300 attendees, including students, faculty and administration staff, "the digital transformation has affected the higher education in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and service quality". He also analysed the way in which universities are adopting these processes in their educational, administrative and research processes.
