What does this master's degree consist of?

The Official Master's Degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence at Comillas ICAI is an official 60 ECTS in-person program taught in Madrid. It offers advanced and practical training oriented towards the real application of AI in business and technological environments, with paid internships in companies.

This master's degree is aimed at graduates in STEM areas who are looking to specialise and make a qualitative leap in their professional profile, positioning themselves at the forefront of the current technological revolution.

Students will be trained in the main techniques of traditional and generative Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, LLMs and Reinforcement Learning) with a strong emphasis on their practical implementation. The Program also addresses key cross-cutting issues such as model operation (MLOPs), data engineering, model explainability, ethics and regulatory compliance.

It combines the master's degree with paid internships in companies, thanks to ICAI's extensive network of agreements with leading companies in all sectors. This Program is taught at the Campus of Comillas ICAI in Madrid (calle Alberto Aguilera, 25).

  • CP01. Ability to define and implement artificial intelligence models and algorithms, as well as to interpret and evaluate proposed models at the frontier of knowledge thanks to the mathematical foundation acquired.

  • CP03. Propose and communicate new ideas for innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of artificial intelligence applied to different business sectors.

  • CO01. Have a deep understanding of the advanced mathematical concepts underlying advanced artificial intelligence (generative, probabilistic, geometric and deep reinforcement).
  • CO02. Understand the new generative artificial intelligence models of text and image creation.
  • CO03. Understand the algorithms and models of artificial intelligence based on innovative techniques based on generative, probabilistic, geometric and deep reinforcement models.
  • CO04. Master the tools involved in the process of developing and versioning intelligence models.
  • CO05. Understand the legal and ethical aspects that will regulate current and future artificial intelligence in the different business sectors.
  • CO06. Know the most recent advances in artificial intelligence published in the latest scientific literature.
  • CO07. Identify the fields of application of the most cutting-edge and innovative artificial intelligence in the main industrial sectors and anticipate the development of new business models.

  • HAB01. Define mathematical models of advanced artificial intelligence algorithms and have the basis for understanding those proposed by other authors.
  • HAB02. Create generative artificial intelligence models that enable the creation of business solutions that optimise their performance in different applications, in complex and constantly evolving contexts.
  • HAB03. Develop and innovate artificial intelligence solutions that improve existing models through new advanced techniques based on deep learning.
  • HAB04. Deploy artificial intelligence applications in production environments that allow for the retraining of models.
  • HAB05. Apply artificial intelligence models within the regulatory context and respecting ethical aspects in their application.
  • HAB06. Develop artificial intelligence applications in the main industrial sectors, understanding the specific needs and challenges of each sector.
  • HAB07. Carry out bibliographical reviews based on documentary sources for the development of research work.
  • HAB08. Analyse, understand and apply critical judgement to new advances in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
