The Double Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education and Early Years Education, with specialisations in Foreign Languages and Therapeutic Pedagogy, at Comillas Pontifical University is an official five-year dual degree programme (362 ECTS) delivered through face-to-face teaching at the Cantoblanco Campus, Madrid. This degree, which forms part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Comillas CIHS), qualifies graduates to practise as teachers at both educational levels — Early Years Education (0–6 years) and Primary Education (6–12 years) — and includes two specialisations: Foreign Language (English) and Remedial Education, which provide additional qualifications for working in bilingual schools and in inclusive classrooms. With 50 places, work placements in schools from the first year onwards and small class sizes, Comillas trains versatile teachers who are prepared to sit competitive examinations in four different specialisms: early years teacher, primary school teacher, English teacher and therapeutic pedagogy teacher.
The five-year Early Years and Primary Education degree programme will prepare you to enhance the intellectual, personal, creative and social development of children from the moment they start school until they reach the age of 12.

A single Bachelor's Degree in Early Years or Primary Education qualifies graduates for a single educational stage (0–6 or 6–12 years) over 4 years and 240 ECTS. The Comillas Double Bachelor's Degree in Primary and Early Years Teaching awards two official qualifications over five years (362 ECTS), covering the entire age range from 0 to 12 years. It also includes two specialisations — Foreign Language (English) and Remedial Education — which qualify graduates to sit the competitive examinations for four specialisms (Early Years teacher, Primary teacher, English teacher and Remedial Education teacher), compared to the 1–2 specialisms available with a Bachelor's Degree. In summary: for just one extra year of study, you gain twice as many qualifications and your career opportunities quadruple.

You can also choose to specialise in one of the two pathways separately: the Master’s in Educational Psychology if your interest lies in educational intervention and guidance, or the Master’s in Secondary School Teaching if you are looking to make the transition to teaching at ESO and Sixth Form level. The three pathways naturally complement the dual Bachelor's Degree programme, broadening the teaching range from 0 to 18 years of age.
