What is the Dual Bachelor's Degree in Law and FIPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics)?

The Double Bachelor's Degree in Law and Philosophy, Politics and Economics (FIPE) at Comillas Pontifical University (Madrid) is anofficial five-year degree programme that combinesa comprehensive legal education withpolitical, philosophical and economic analysis.

It is one of the few programmes in Spain to offer this combination within a single course of study, which sets it apart from the Double Bachelor's Degree in Law and Business Administration by prioritising critical thinking, political theory and economics as applied to institutions and public policy.

Its graduates go on to work in international law firms, public bodies, political and social consultancy firms, and corporate legal departments. At Comillas, we offer this Bachelor's Degree as a face-to-face programme in Madrid, with opportunities for international mobility and work placements at leading organisations.

The new Dual Degree Program in Bachelor's Degree in Law and Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (E-5 "FIPE") is conceived as a single program, no longer sharing the sequence of the E-1 Degree in Law. The two Degrees are finished simultaneously in 5th course.

The ideal candidate for the dual Bachelor's Degree in Law and Philosophy, Politics and Economics is an individual of high intellectual ability, who stands out for their maturity, capacity for abstract reasoning, analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, ability to engage in dialogue, and a penchant for methodical reflection and critical questioning.

Applicants must possess the ability to acquire the skills and competencies required in interdisciplinary settings, the capacity to form independent judgements, an interest in and ability to understand the complex national and international economic and political realities, and a desire to become an agent of social change. Furthermore, candidates must be aware of the high level of commitment to their studies required by a dual-degree program and be prepared to undertake a heavy workload during their university studies.

Comillas Pontifical University offers those wishing to begin their studies next academic year the opportunity to get a first taste of university life and get off to a good start at university.

This pre-university programme consists of modules that you can choose based on your needs and your chosen Degree programme. It will enable you to consolidate your knowledge before starting your Degree and to successfully enter the university world in the most enjoyable and educational way possible.
