Comillas promotes a space for training and dialogue on impact investment for religious entities
The Chair in Social Impact brought together international experts to explore how to align financial management with the mission and values of the Church

Comillas, through the Chair in Social Impact directed by Carlos Ballesteros, lecturer at Comillas, held a new edition of the course "Impact Investment for Religious Entities", a space aimed at Catholic institutions that manage financial resources and that seek to do so with prudence, sustainability and coherence with the Social Doctrine of the Church. During two days, attendees participated in specialised presentations, case studies and a practical workshop aimed at offering concrete tools to integrate social and environmental impact in their investment decisions.

The inaugural session brought together leading voices such as Father Andrew Small, from Mission Invest, who reflected on the transformative role that faith-based investment can have, and Antonio Santoro, a member of Principles for Responsible Investment, who addressed the link between integrity, responsibility and the common good. The course, in collaboration with the Open Value Foundation, also included presentations by specialists from companies such as SpainNAB, MAPFRE, GSI and iCapital.
As a great novelty, this edition culminated with the launch of a Community of Practice, a permanent meeting place for religious entities and professionals in the financial field. Its aim will be to share learning, support strategic decisions and promote an ongoing dialogue on how to mobilise economic resources in the service of the common good.
