The Uría Menéndez Chair for Market Regulation organised AEDE’s XIII Annual Conferences. The opening was presided by Abel Veiga, dean of the faculty of Law (Comillas ICADE), and Gabriel Doménech Pascual, president of AEDE, who thanked Comillas for hosting the event.
For his part, the dean recalled that the faculty of Law is open “to the world, to debate and to academia, especially if the debate is legal and economic. We jurists cannot live detached from the economic situation. For us, bringing these two habitats together and creating an atmosphere of debate and encounter is fundamental”.
The Vice-Rector for Academic Strategy, Innovation and Internationalisation at Comillas, Paloma Bilbao, took part in the first session of the conference dedicated to corporate governance with a paper titled “An analysis of worldwide codes alignment to the agency theory and their relationship with cultural and institutional factors” co-written by Alberto Rodendo.
For the rest of the conferences, with many quality papers, and counting on the participation of lecturers from top-level national and international universities, there were sessions on relevant topics like the environment, politics, contracts and grievances.
