Coinciding with European Mobility Week, from 18 to 24 September, Comillas Comunidad, through Comillas Bienestar, organised several activities related to sustainable mobility as part of Comillas Mobility Week.
One of these was learning how to use electric scooters for members of the university community, the first theoretical and practical training given and supervised by members of the Road and Civic Education Unit of the Madrid Municipal Police.
During the workshop, more than eighty participants were able to learn the basic rules of use on public roads and put them into practice in the road safety circuit "Micromobility safely" installed in one of the inner courtyards of Alberto Aguilera, 23.
In addition, researchers from the Masters in Motorsport, Mobility and Safety at Comillas ICAI carried out an investigation to prevent injuries, using the latest technologies, such as cameras and sensors, courtesy of Dott Patinetes.
As part of Comillas Mobility Week, the 2nd Comillas Bicycle Route also took place, an initiative that aims to promote physical exercise among members of the university community by cycling through emblematic areas of the city. Almost 30 participants, including students, PAS, PDI, alumni, friends and families, cycled along a stretch of the green ring along the banks of the Manzanares River from the Puerta de Hierro sports park to the Casa de Campo lake, which ended with a meal in an emblematic restaurant.
