The Integral Ecology Program of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Comillas CIHS), has launched an initiative to raise awareness among students about pollution in honour of Energy Efficiency Month. The gymkhana consists of seven tests after which, based on the points obtained, students can win a backpack made in an environmentally friendly way. The tests, which are difficult to trace, aim to inform students about the carbon footprint of our daily actions.

For example, how many kilograms of CO2 are emitted in the production of a steak, how much a car pollutes compared to a bus, and even about the European Union's ecolabels, which will enable students to shop in a responsible way for the environment. The gymkhana, available until 30 March, is held in honour of Energy Efficiency Month, which has been celebrated since 1998. Energy efficiency, as opposed to energy saving, aims to teach us how to optimise our use of energy. Thus, the gymkhana’s main objective is to teach students what their energy impact is and how to optimise it.
