Continuing Education for Adults

.

Our University wants to contribute to the human and social development of adults, in accordance with what they, through their experience, work and effort, contribute to our society. Because it is in adulthood when we can better enjoy learning and when we are most prepared to understand it as a privileged channel of knowledge and commitment to ourselves, to the world and to society.

What do we do?

The Continuing Education for Adults at Comillas Pontifical University, with more than 20 years of experience and rooted in the humanist current of the Society of Jesus, offers its studies within the framework of the Graduate School and Lifelong Learning with a five-course itinerary. The fundamental axis are the Humanities subjects (Literature, History, Art and Philosophy) which are taught as core subjects. Alongside these, a wide range of subjects complement this itinerary, dealing with the current issues of our world.

After these five courses, you can do three years of in-depth study at the CAEC.

Both programmes are complemented by a wide and varied range of seminars, as well as cultural activities, trips and other activities.

Our objectives

  • To facilitate access for the elderly to cultural goods and knowledge, as well as to the opportunities offered by the new information society.
  • To provide a space for cultural debate.
  • To offer the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences in the interaction of work groups, as well as to obtain new experiences that reinforce the participation of individuals in society.
  • To favour the experience of the university's own values: respect, dialogue, intellectual curiosity and openness.
