EUEF consolidates its commitment to training in values through an intergenerational encounter
This initiative has been promoted by the Volunteering Area of the San Juan de Dios-Comillas University School of Nursing and Physiotherapy (EUEF ).

This week, the 1st Physiotherapy and 2nd Nursing students of the Paseo de la Habana and Ciempozuelos campuses of the EUEF received a visit from the residents of the Residencia San Juan de Dios de Herreros de Tejadaand the Centro San Juan de Dios de Ciempozuelos.
This activity is part of an initiative of the School's Volunteering Area, designed to accompany elderly people who suffer from unwanted loneliness. In it, the students sent letters of affection and love to the residents of both centres.
"I was pleasantly surprised to receive the letter. I liked and remembered the sincerity and spontaneity of youth", said Ángel Jambrina, a resident of the San Juan de Dios de Herreros de Tejada Residence .
About this meeting, Nuria M. de Castro, coordinator of Volunteering of the EUEF, pointed out that "the students have been able to share life experiences and feelings. It was very emotional both for them and for the residents" .
The day not only helped to strengthen intergenerational bonds, but also reinforced EUEF's commitment to comprehensive training based on values of humanity and empathy .
"We hope that this workshop will be carried out more years because it has been an incredible experience and we are very grateful", said María Arias, a student of the 2nd Degree in Nursing .
