The university community welcomes new PAS and PDI members
More than 60 professionals from Comillas attended a conference that marked the start of their time at the university

Last week Comillas welcomed the teaching and research staff and the administration and services staff who have joined the university for the 23-24 academic year. The day began with a presentation by the Rector, Antonio Allende, SJ, on the identity and mission of Comillas through his experiences within the Society.

Next, Paloma Bilbao, Vice Rector for Academic Strategy, Innovation and Internationalisation, and Federico de Montalvo, Vice Rector for Institutional Relations and General Registrar, explained the academic strategy of Comillas and the differentiation linked to the excellence that characterises it. In addition, they highlighted the importance of communication and developed the quality processes that are carried out at the university.
After a brief pause, it was the turn of Belén Urosa, Vice Rector for Alumni and Students, and Enrique Marazuela, Director for Economic Affairs and Business Relations. Belén Urosa explained the services and activities available to students, and Marazuela highlighted the future ambitions of Comillas, its infrastructures and upcoming projects.
Mariano Ventosa, Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching Staff, and José María Ortiz, Vice-Rector for Organisation and Digital Transformation, concluded the presentations of the Vice-Rectors. They divided the attendees into two groups: the teaching staff and the administration and services staff. Each one explained to their teams the value of each of the profiles and energised the event by asking those present about their expectations of the university.
The Rector, Antonio Allende, SJ, closed the day by thanking the attendees for having chosen Comillas to continue their professional development and highlighting the university's community spirit.
