International mobility programmes allow students to study for a period of time at a foreign university, either in the European Union, through the Erasmus+ Programme, or at universities in other countries with which Comillas has signed a Bilateral Agreement.

Erasmus +

The exchange takes place between universities in European Union countries. The selection of Erasmus students is the responsibility of each sending university. The Erasmus+ programme provides students with financial aid that does not cover all their expenses during the period of study in the host country.

To be eligible for these grants, the following requirements must be met:

1- Be enrolled in a Higher Education Institution, pursuing studies leading to an official degree.

2- You must have completed the first year of your degree.

The period of study abroad will have a minimum duration of 3 months and a maximum duration of 12 months, although the maximum funding per course will be 5 months.

Students will pay tuition fees, exam fees or access to laboratories and libraries at their home university and not at the host university.

The studies carried out at the host university will be recognised at the student's home university.

The amount of the grants will depend on the standard of living in the student's host country. Three groups of countries have been established with grants ranging from 200 to 300 euros per month.

Bilateral Agreements

Comillas has signed agreements with universities in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Asia and Latin America. As with the Erasmus+ Programme, in bilateral exchanges, candidates are selected by the Faculty in which they are enrolled, fees are paid at the home university and not at the host university, and the studies carried out at the foreign university are recognised at the student's home university.

Bilateral exchanges, in general, do not have financial support, although there may be scholarship programmes for specific destinations (e.g. Becas Iberomaéricana. Undergraduate students. Santander Universities.
