The Conecta Lab was transformed into a magical space where a large part of the university community learned to "disconnect to connect", in the IIV edition of the "Together we build Comillas" conference. An event designed to reflect on the impact of technology on our daily lives and which encouraged a more balanced and conscious use of screens.

The day began with the rector of the university, Antonio Allende, SJ. Then, Andrés García, PhD in Law and lecturer in Philosophy of Law at the University of Zaragoza, gave a presentation focused on the legal and philosophical aspects related to digital disconnection.
Afterwards, Fabián Cardell, psychologist at the Clinical Psychology Unit (UNINPSI) of the university and CEO of Auba Empresas, shared valuable tools to identify the signs of technological abuse and how it can affect our emotional well-being. The event continued with a teambuilding activity entitled The Magic of Mindfulness. This session, led by the magician Gerardo Martínez, captivated those present with surprising tricks and reflections on the importance of mindfulness.
A day that invited participants to reflect on the impact of digital disconnection, offered guidelines to initiate positive changes in the relationship with technology and brought to the table new zentennial terms such as: fomo, doomscrolling or nomophobia.
However, without a doubt, the greatest lesson of the meeting was the motto of the day itself: to truly connect with others, we must first learn to disconnect from the noise that surrounds us. To reflect, listen and share, in order to build a future together. Because, if there is one thing there is no doubt about, it is that together we build Comillas!
