What is the Degree in Translation and Interpreting?

The Degree in Translation and Interpreting at Comillas offers an integrated programme in multilingual communication, consisting of the Degree in Translation and Interpreting and the Diploma in Third Foreign Language.

Studying Translation and Interpreting will train you in the application of languages(three foreign languages) to exercise a profession that is highly demanded by the labour market, which contributes to overcoming linguistic and cultural barriers and helps people and societies to understand and communicate with each other. Translation and interpreting are essential in today's globalised society, immersed - in all areas - in a new era of unprecedented international communication.

  • Admission Profile

The Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Language Technologies, together with the Diploma in Fourth World Language (optional), is for anyone interested in mastering the new applications of Artificial Intelligence to language; who wants to make the digital revolution, the international world, letters and cultures their own. An educated level of Spanish, a good command of English and an interest in other languages are required. Our students are distinguished by their eagerness to learn and their intellectual curiosity, and are willing to dedicate themselves with great intensity to study during the four years of their university studies.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are pioneers in bringing to the university what the market demands and in training professionals to improve our society. Tradition and quality are our guarantee.

  • Participate in Information Sessions and Seminars, although it is not essential, it will help candidates to learn more about the programmes, know the curriculum and consult doubts.

    Apply for admission and, once validated, you will be able to take the admission tests. Once you have been notified of the results, you will be able to enrol.

  • Yes, there are different calls for applications for grants depending on the faculty and degree programmes. However, all of them are aimed at supporting students and their families in the payment of monthly fees. In general, grants are between 40% and 75%, although in exceptional situations they can reach higher percentages. Comillas students can also access different public grants such as the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training Scholarship or the Excellence Scholarship of the Community of Madrid. In collaboration with some colleges and university residences, Comillas also develops a scholarship programme for accommodation in Madrid, aimed at those students who need to travel from other places.
