Information for students

Information and requirements

  • Entry Profile

The recommended entry profile for those wishing to study Early Childhood Education is that of a person who considers education to be a preferential means of introducing changes in the lives of individuals and also in the development of societies. These studies should be taken by people with a strong motivation to learn about the teaching and learning processes that are at the basis of the personal growth of pupils aged 0-6 years with whom they will have to deal in their professional practice. The future student of Early Childhood Education should be characterised by: having broad cultural, educational, psychological and social interests; possessing a desire to understand the human being to the highest possible degree and having a reasonable belief that educational intervention, both in formal and non-formal settings, can make a decisive contribution to people's wellbeing. The degree has a strong pedagogical foundation, didactic specialisations and work experience in educational centres.
