The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Comillas CIHS) celebrated a new edition of two of its most emblematic awards: the 5th Edition of the Award for the Best Sustainable End of Degree Project and the 5th Edition of the Ignacio Boné SJ Memorial Award, with which the university values the commitment of its students to sustainability, ethics and care for people.

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Virginia Cagigal, the director of UNINPSI, Laura Bermejo, and Heike Pintor, delegate and advisor of the Integral Ecology Unit at the Cantoblanco campus.

During her speech, Virginia Cagigal highlighted the importance of this recognition within the identity of Comillas: "These awards reflect a culture that is gradually transforming our faculty, incorporating the perspective of sustainability and care for our common home in all our disciplines".

For her part, Heike Pintor celebrated the growing interest of students in sustainability and the environment: "Every year there are more and more TFGs that address these topics, which shows that sustainability is already part of our students' lives," she said, encouraging them to continue projecting their commitment towards the future.

The Award for the Best Sustainable TFG recognised the work of Alba Palomar Gutiérrez, 4th year student of the Degree in Early Childhood Education and Degree in Primary Education, and Daniela Fernández Aguilar, 5th year student of International Relations and Global Communication, whose projects stood out for their originality, rigour and transformative approach in the field of sustainability and environmental protection.

As for the Ignacio Boné SJ Memorial Award, Laura Bermejo recalled the figure of the professor after whom the award is named, highlighting his "kindness, listening and commitment to patients, students and colleagues". This award, she added, seeks to recognise not only professional excellence in clinical practice, but also the human quality and spirit of service of future psychologists. The award went to Luis Guillén Plaza, 2nd year student of the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology and Master's Degree in Therapeutic Specialisation, for his outstanding work in clinical practice and his sensitivity in accompanying patients.

Congratulations, Alba, Daniela and Luis, for your work, your dedication and commitment!
