Comillas hosts the University Table Tennis Championship in Madrid
The tournament brought together 53 students and staff from Madrid's universities in an intense day of competition

The Alberto Aguilera gym hosted the Madrid University Table Tennis Championship, an event that brought together more than 50 participants, including students and staff from different universities in Madrid. The competition was organised by Comillas Bienestar, the Community of Madrid and the Table Tennis Federation of Madrid.

Throughout the day, the players played high-level matches until the winners were announced: Emma Ruiz, from the Universidad Europea de Madrid, won the women's category, while in the men's category the title went to Gonzalo Zaballos, from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In the team category, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid also won.
In the Rector's Trophy at Comillas, which rewards the best players at Comillas, Lucía Haifang, a student of the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, was the winner in the women's category and Bastien Michel Joseph, a student of the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management with an International Mention, in the men's category. The awards ceremony was presided over by the Vice-Rector for Identity and Mission and Alumni and Students, Jaime Tatay SJ, together with the Director of Comillas Bienestar, Roberto Pérez.
The championship also had the support of sponsors such as Chef Fruit, Lacasitos, P&G, Clarins and Grupo ISONDOS, whose support continues to be fundamental for the promotion of university sport.
