What is the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering?

The Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering is the first stage in the Industrial Engineering Program and includes three specialisations: Mechanics, Electricity and Electronics and Automation. The first two years are common to all three specialisations, which allows students to choose the desired specialisation when they move on to the third year.

ICAI industrial engineers work in all productive sectors of the national and international economy, assuming the highest functions and responsibilities thanks to their multidisciplinary and integrated training. Their job placement is immediate and of high quality.

The tradition of the School of Engineering (Comillas ICAI) in the training of engineers began in Madrid in 1908. Today, Comillas ICAI is a polytechnic school whose academic activity focuses on Industrial and Telecommunications Engineering.

Information and requirements

  • Admission Profile

It is recommended that candidates have studied the Baccalaureate in the modality of Science and Technology, having studied mathematics, physics, technical drawing and chemistry to facilitate their adaptation to degree studies. Similarly, the preferred families of Higher Level Training Cycles for access to this degree are Electricity and Electronics together with Mechanical Manufacturing.

The main personal and academic characteristics that make up the recommended entry profile are:
- Interest in scientific and technological knowledge.
- Ease of calculation and logical reasoning in problem solving.
- Ease of learning, work capacity and predisposition for organisation.
-Ability to analyse and synthesise information.
- Responsibility in carrying out individual work and teamwork skills.

  • Participate in Information Sessions and Conferences, although it is not essential, it will help candidates to learn more about the programs, know the study plans and consult doubts.

    Apply for admission and once validated you will be able to take the admission tests and when you are notified of the result you will be able to formalise your enrolment.

  • Yes, there are different scholarships available depending on the faculty and degree programs, but all of them are aimed at supporting students and their families in the payment of monthly fees. In general, grants are between 40% and 75%, although in exceptional situations they can reach higher percentages. Comillas students can also access different public grants such as the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training Scholarship or the Excellence Scholarship of the Community of Madrid.
