A twist on global madness

At times, it seems that the world is not in its right mind and every day we witness this somewhat delirious spectacle from the front row. International politics goes off the rails every day; technology makes things not seem what they are; social networks blur our ideas; the economy lurches forward with tariffs; and wars remind us that, perhaps, human beings have forgotten that they are "human". These are things that are worth analysing with the lecturers and experts at Comillas in the podcast "El mundo está loco, loco, loco".

In the first episode of this third season we analysed the peace plan proposed by the United States for the Middle East, which has begun to take its first steps. Hamas has already released the hostages it was holding and Israel is doing the same with 2,000 Palestinian prisoners who remain in its jails.

Now it is time not to forget: we have to remember what has happened in the last two years in the Gaza Strip, for international justice to take action in the matter and for the UN to redefine its role as international arbiter. José Ángel López, lecturer in International Law and International Relations and author of the book "La era de los genocidios", which will be on sale in the coming weeks, speaks to us about all of this and does not hesitate to define what happened as genocide.
