There are no entrance exams for the Biblical Spirituality course.

You may not meet the entry requirements to be admitted as a ‘regular’ student, or perhaps this was stated in the reply to your application.

Don’t worry: as well as ‘regular’ students, Comillas has a category of ‘special’ students, designed specifically for those who do not meet the entry requirements.

To become a “special” student, you must submit a specific request to the Dean using the standard form.

Once admitted as an “extraordinary” student, you enrol in subjects as normal, your name appears on the course registers, you sit exams as usual, and you have access to all the resources available to ordinary students. However, you will not be awarded the Specialist Degree, although you may apply for a certificate of studies.

If you are only interested in attending lectures, but not in sitting exams or obtaining a qualification, you may apply to the Dean to be admitted as a ‘continuing education’ student.

To become a ‘continuing education’ student, you must submit a specific request to the Dean using the general applicationform.

We will normally ask you to enrol in at least two subjects per semester (i.e. 50 per cent of the credits). This would usually mean attending classes one afternoon a week in each semester (or two days in a semester).

Depending on the circumstances, the programme director (that is, the Head of the Department of Sacred Scripture and Church History) may authorise enrolment for fewer credits. To do so, please contact the programme director.

You need to log in to the Comillas intranet and enter your username (the student number you were given when you enrolled) and your password.

Comillas enhances security by using two-factor authentication, so you will normally need a mobile phone with the Microsoft Authenticator app installed.

Once logged in, you can access your subjects via the Comillas learning platform.

When you enter the subject, usually under the first topic, you’ll see the virtual classroom where the lessons take place.

• Before the course begins, the programme director or the distance learning coordinator will invite students to attend an introductory session on how to use the learning platform and to address any practical issues.
• During the course, a specific contact person will also be provided whom you can turn to for assistance.

Provided that the Bible studies have been undertaken at a higher education institution, it is possible to apply for recognition.

The University and the Faculty have specific criteria , which include the number of ECTS credits completed, the course content and the skills acquired, subject to a maximum number of ECTS credits that can be recognised per Program.
