PLACES RESERVED FOR UKRAINIAN STUDENTS: ACADEMIC YEAR 22/23

Their place will be guaranteed for the 2022/2023 academic year and may be renewed if the war continues and if their permission to remain in Spain is extended. The places are available for people who have taken up residence in the Autonomous Region of Madrid (Comunidad de Madrid), although in exceptional cases candidates residing in other Spanish territories may be considered if their accommodation and maintenance can be guaranteed. Agricultural Engineering studies are pursued in Valladolid and taught in face-to-face or blended learning formats, and the criteria will remain the same, although in this case, open to persons who are residents in Castile and León.

In order to make initial contact to submit an application, please contact comillassolidaria@comillas.edu. Unless indicated otherwise, the deadline for completion of registration is 24 June 2022. Candidates must be admitted to the university before this date.

The only conditions for admission of the candidates are:

• To have recognised temporary protection of the Spanish State under the agreements of the European Council and the Council of Ministers of Spain in relation to the armed conflict in Ukraine beginning on 24 February 2022.
• The availability of places in the studies chosen.
• Sufficient command of the language of instruction of the course (Spanish, English or both as applicable).
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they hold valid documents for university studies or, where applicable, to have already begun those studies. Given the difficulties that may be involved, an internal protocol will be drafted to determine the adequate nature of the documentation required.

Students enrolling at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas under this programme will also receive free Spanish language courses and mentoring.
