Comillas Alumni held the first five-year anniversary encounter of a graduating class, which brought together more than a hundred alumni and lecturers from all the schools and faculties of the graduating class of 2018.
It was a very special meeting, as it was the first encounter between alumni and lecturers of this graduating class, and it had a solidary nature. Thanks to the sale of charity tickets, the university was able to raise money so that young people with limited economic resources or in a situation of vulnerability can study at Comillas thanks to the Father Dimo Scholarships.
María Navarrete, event manager for Comillas Alumni, wanted to start the event sharing a few words of gratitude to all the attendees: “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to those who have made this event possible, and of course, to our alumni who have shown so much interest in this event and have welcomed the event as if it were their own.”
An original event on the rooftop of Casa Suecia, close to Madrid’s Gran Vía, with the mail goal of continuing to bring together the best professionals, committed to change the world.
Our alumni had the opportunity to toast their achievements of these last five years and enjoy the memories they made in our university with their classmates and lecturers, accompanied by music and with the best views of the capital.
Virginia Tolín, director of Comillas Alumni, is committed to promoting this kind of initiative to maintain contact between the university and recent graduates to keep on deepening these excellent relations. “Our alumni are at the centre of our strategy as a key pillar of our growth and connection to society. This kind of initiative aims to improve their network, so that it can respond to the desire our alumni show every day to contribute and improve the world.”
