Santiago Madrigal, lecturer at the Faculty of Theology at Comillas Pontifical University, is the editor and coauthor of the recently published Comentario teológico a los documentos del Concilio Vaticano II, a volume containing the commentary on the Sacrosanctum Concilium and Lumen gentium constitutions and the Orientalum Ecclesiarum decree. In addition to the commentaries on these three documents, there is a brief story about the Council and its reception, both written by Madrigal himself.
This book is part of a bigger project, the Comentario Teológico a los dieciséis documentos del Concilio Vaticano II, divided into five volumes. Its coordination was entrusted to Madrigal by the Biblioteca de Autores Cristianos. The Scientific Committee, coordinated by the lecturer at Comillas, is also made up of Salvador Pié-Ninot, lecturer from the Faculty of Theology of Catalonia and the Pontifical Gregorian University; Rafael Vázquez, Technical Secretary of the Commission on Doctrine of the Faith; Gonzalo Tejerina, from the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical University of Salamanca, and Vicente Botella, from the Faculty of Theology San Vicente Ferrer of Valencia.
The volume will be presented tomorrow 17 may at 17:30, at the headquarters of the Biblioteca de Autores Cristianos (Salón S. Isidro, Sedes Sapientiae building, Manuel Uribe Street, number 4) with the participation of Mons. Juan José Omella, Cardinal-Archbishop of Barcelona and President of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, Rafael Vázquez, Technical Secretary of the Commission on Doctrine of the Faith, and Gabriel Richi, Dean of the Faculty of Theology at the San Damaso Ecclesiastical University.
