The 10th edition of the Comillas Emprende Pitch Competition for business ideas concluded in a hard-fought final, in which eight teams competed against each other: Food4Us, Tailorit, Extrable, Realis, T-couch, DREM, SKEY and NELSON. Eight projects managed to reach the final of the competition, in which a total of 41 teams took part, beating records from previous editions. The last session was a day full of hope, innovation and great ideas for Comillas' enterprising future.

Each group had the opportunity to present, in a few minutes, their idea in front of the rest of the participants and before a specialised jury: Teresa Gil, management and innovation at Iberdrola; Héctor Álvarez, director of Strategy and Indraventures at Indra; Marlen Estévez, partner at Roca Junyent Abogados, and Iñigo Amoribieta, associate lecturer of Strategy at Comillas Pontifical University.
After the jury’s deliberation, Luis Fernández, host of the event, gave way to the award ceremony.

The Iberdrola Innovation Award for the most outstanding project in the energy sector went to NELSON, an energy, technological and personalised advisor in a centralised, simple way and without small print.

Indra presented the Indra Digital Transformation Award to the DREM project, rewarding the best digitalisation idea for improving the efficiency of products, services or processes. DREM (Decentralized Real Estate Market) is a real estate marketplace that seeks to transform the traditional process of buying and selling real estate using smart contracts through blockchain, removing the need for intermediaries and achieving a cheaper, faster and more efficient process.

REALIS was recognised by the law firm Roca Junyent Abogados, which presented the RJ LegalTech Award to the best technological initiative by LegalTech products. Realis aims to fully rehabilitate disused residential property through the coordination and contracting of all stakeholders involved using diversified financing schemes.

After the sponsors’ awards, the winners of the Comillas Emprende Awards were announced. EXTRABLE was recognised as the best entrepreneurial idea of the academic year. It is a proposal that makes it possible to extract data from thousands of documents with a single click, optimising the workflow of companies. The jury was surprised by the advanced state of the project, which is already generating invoices. The second prize went to TAILORIT, a software that allows precise body measurements to be taken from a mobile phone to recommend clothing sizes in order to solve the problems associated with size selection when buying clothes online. The third prize went to REALIS.
