Official status of the Degree
The Official Master's Degree in Human Resources is managed by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), Comillas Pontifical University, through ICADE Business School.
This Master's Degree program responds to a growing demand by organizations and companies that consider their human capital to be their most valuable, and often most irreplaceable, asset. Managing people, and more specifically, the management of talent, thus becomes a strategic and crucial matter that is directly linked to results in Business and Finance.
Development and Management of professional careers from start to finish
This Master's Degree enables students to develop professional skills and abilities in Human Resource Management, both in detecting, attracting and developing talent as well as in compensation / benefits systems and in the legal and labor relations fields, in addition to providing a wide range of knowledge on the main functions of a company, and the technologies applied to the Management of People Analytics. Therefore, it facilitates access to job opportunities in People Analytics Departments, Human Resources Consultancies, Communication Departments, Corporate Social Responsibility Departments, Labor Departments, and Departments of Compensation and Benefits. Training in Data Processing and Analytics can be complemented with the completion of the "Executive Program in Business Analytics".

Admissions Process
Visit the Faculty. A visit to the Business School is not mandatory, but potential candidates are encouraged to learn about the University Schools and Faculties, see the facilities, and obtain additional information.
Apply for admission. Once candidates have decided on the Master's Degree in which they are interested, they should fill out the application form on-line, and then hand in the documents required at the General Registrar's Office at the University (please see the Profile for Admission for Candidates of the Degree). Once the application form has been received, and during the period during which documents are being submitted, the management team for the Master's Degree will contact candidates by means of a letter of welcome and invitation to take the entrance exams on a specific date in the following weeks.
If you wish, you may apply for grants and scholarships from the University at the same time as applying for admission.
Process for Admission to the Degree. The final decision on admission to the program is made by taking into account a series of exams which will verify, among other abilities, analytical skills, oral and written expression, and the level of knowledge of English. The exams and the weighting of each aspect to be evaluated are as follows:
• 50% - Academic record of previous studies (25%), and English exam (25%)
• 25% - Written expression, in a composition of personal reflection (15%), and Excel exam 10%
• 25% - Personal interview (with the Director and/or Program Coordinator) and professional experience or internships carried out previously.
After completing the entrance exams, and at their earliest convenience, candidates must hand in the final documents that are required to be admitted to the Master's Degree Program. Please see the note containing information in the section on Profile for Admission for Candidates of the Degree.
Communication and Legal Requirements for Access to the University. The management team for the program, based on the exams submitted by candidates, will issue a report declaring whether candidates are eligible or not for acceptance to the program. Decisions on admission to the program are the responsibility of the Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Director of ICADE Business School.
Finalizing the Admissions Process. Once admitted, students must finalize the registration process. This procedure is initiated on the web page, but it is necessary to present the registration form and hand in the additional documents in person at the General Registrar's Office at the University.

Profile for Applicants and Candidates for the Degree:
The Official Master's Degree in Human Resources is aimed at University graduates and degree-holders with little or no previous work experience who, regardless of their field of studies, would like to direct their careers toward the management of people.
Students who are interested in pursuing this career must have aptitudes for, among other aspects, the following skills, abilities and interests:
· Interest in Other People.
Interpersonal relations are the key element of Human Resources Departments. Being aware of the needs and interests of colleagues and collaborators is the cornerstone of human capital management.
· Social Skills, Oral and Written Communication.
Effective communication with others should be one of the basic working stills: active listening, respect for the dignity of others, persuasive powers, and the ability to effectively communicate information, both orally and in writing, represent some of these skills.
· Interest in the Business and Corporative World.
Students should understand that in any work relationship employees must take on the responsibility of ensuring the success of the Business, as well as promoting customer satisfaction, as two of their main objectives.
· Interest in Management, Leadership and Team-Building.
The Human Resourses Department in any organization must facilitate the carrying out of processes and tasks, and ensure that work-related tasks are completed by others. Persuasion, leadership, a suitable working environment and favoring efficient team management are necessary means to achieve this end.
· Ability to Analyze and Interpret.
The activities of Human Resources Management require the incorporation of technological tools into the workplace that support the most common decision-making processes. The interpretation and analysis of the data provided by these tools is an added value to the activity of any company.
Requirements for Application to the Degree.
It is an essential requirement to be in possession of, or justify that candidates will be awarded, before enrolling, a Bachelor's Degree, “Diplomatura” (University Degree Diploma), Undergraduate Degree, Engineering Degree, Degree in Technical Engineering, Architecture, Technical Architecture or their equivalent in other countries (in the latter case, if the diploma is in another language, it must be translated into Spanish by a sworn legal translator).

The total fee for the Master's program is €18,980.
1st academic year: €12,693.03. Enrollment 1st year: €2,662.80 plus nine monthly installments of €1,114.47 each.
2nd academic year: €6,287.10 Enrollment 2nd year: €1,331.10 plus four monthly installments of €1,239.00.

Graduate Profile.
The Official Master's Degree in Human Resources provides appropriate competences so that our students are capable of developing work in the areas of human capital management, either in the field of employee assessment and recruitment, training, and career development and management, as well as in the area of labour relations and other more legal-inclined areas. Therefore, the students have the opportunity to work in Human Resources Departments, Human Resources Consultancies, Communication Departments, Corporate Social Responsibility Departments, Labour Departments and Remuneration and Benefit Departments.

Likewise the Official Master's Degree in Human Resources is a pathway onto the official doctorate programme, in line with that stipulated in Royal Decree 99/2011 of 28 January which regulates official doctorate teachings.
The Official Master's Degree in Human Resources comprises a total of 90 ECTS (European Credits), distributed over two academic years.
The program offers a structure in line with the training traditionally offered by our Faculties and by ICADE Business School. It includes knowledge in Business Administration, Law, Psychology, and Sociology, with a view to the comprehensive training of future Directors of Human Resources.
