What is the Master?

The Master in Experiential Humanistic Psychotherapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy is aimed at psychologists who wish to specialise in humanistic and emotion-focused psychotherapy in their respective work contexts, who are interested in a deep understanding of the human being and in having effective tools to facilitate emotional change.

Emotion Focused Therapy is at the forefront of internationally recognised humanistic psychotherapy. For this reason, the Master in Experiential Humanistic Psychotherapy and Emotion Focused Therapy is designed in line with the 3 levels of training provided by Lelsie Greenberg's team at the York University Psychology Clinic, thus laying the foundations for internationally recognised training.

Las clases son muy prácticas, después de aprender algo teórico casi siempre realizábamos role-playing para ponerlo en práctica.

Objectives and methodology

The objective is that therapists can acquire psychotherapeutic skills from the experiential humanistic orientation in order to help different processes, especially in the context of individual psychotherapy with adults, without forgetting tools to help couples, children and social and group processes from humanistic psychotherapy.

An experiential methodology is used, with a strong presence of practice and direct contact with patients from the very beginning. Direct and indirect supervision and teamwork are fundamental to the learning methodology.
