Academic Search Complete

EbscoHost's multidisciplinary database. It contains the full text of more than 4,600 periodicals. It also contains indexes, abstracts of more than 8,200 journals and 7,200 peer-reviewed summaries and abstracts. It is updated daily.

E-Journals

Database providing access to articles from hundreds of electronic journals available through EBSCO. Some articles from other EBSCOHost databases can be accessed in full text.

Library Information Science & Technology Abstracts 

Contains bibliographic indexes to over 700 publications, plus books, proceedings and research reports. Areas covered include library science, classification, catalogue creation, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Database coverage dates back to the mid-1960s.

SAGE Humanities and Social Science (HSS) Package

Online platform containing over 660 Humanities and Social Science journals with full-text access from 1999 to the present. It includes peer-review journals, many of which have an impact factor in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR). The subjects of education and special education stand out.

Scopus 

Scopus is the largest database of citations and abstracts of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Offering a comprehensive summary of the world's research findings in the fields of science, technology, medicine, medicine, social sciences and the arts and humanities, Scopus includes intelligent tools for tracking, analysing and visualising research.

Web of Science

The Web of Science is the collection of databases of bibliographic references and citations from periodicals that collect information from 1900 to the present day. It is made up of the Core Collection, which includes the indexes of Science, Social Sciences and Arts and Humanities, as well as the Proceedings of both Science and Social Sciences and Humanities, together with the tools for analysis and evaluation, such as the Journal Citation Report and Essential Science Indicators. Additionally, it has the databases that complement it included in the licence for Spain: Medline, Scielo and Korean Citation Index.

Wiley Online Library

Provides access to the full text of around 1,400 journals (generally since 1997) published by John Wiley and Sons. The dominant language of the articles is English. Its subject matter covers both scientific and humanities fields.

Verbix 

Verbix is a non-profit organisation, which aims to promote and protect linguistic diversity. It contains verbs and verb conjugations in hundreds of languages.

UNTERM: United Nations Multilingual Terminology Database 

Terminology database. Provides technical nomenclature and specialised terms in 6 official UN languages; English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian.

Glossary of the European Union 

Terms relating to European integration, institutions and activities of the EU.

IATE (Inter-Active Terminology for Europe) 

Database of EU-specific terminology and jargon. Covers areas such as law, agriculture, technology, IT. It plays a key role in ensuring the quality of communication between European institutions and bodies. It covers the 23 official languages of the EU. It is updated daily.

WTO (World Trade Organisation) Terminology Database

WTO database for translators containing the organisation's terminology in its three official languages. It is updated regularly.

Terminology portal. FAO 

Portal created to maintain and archive multilingual concepts, terms and definitions. Its aim is to have a single portal for searching systems and glossary of terms.

Interpretation SCIC 

Collection of resources for interpreting students.

Interpreters training resources 

Compilation of material and resources for interpreting students and trainees from different schools and universities, including glossaries, internships, notes, simultaneous translation, blogs, forums, etc.

National Network for Interpreting 

Compilation of essential resources in the field of translation.

ASETRAD: Asociación Española de Traductores, Correctores e Intérpretes

Non-profit making association. Its aims include: promoting the recognition of the translation, proofreading and interpreting professions, providing advice on all aspects of the profession, tax and legal advice, and collaborating with public and private entities.

Professional Association of Court and Sworn Translators and Interpreters (APTIJ) 

It brings together translation and interpreting professionals who act in the different courts in Spain assisting and helping the Administration of Justice, as well as sworn interpreters and translators appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation or by the Autonomous Communities with competences in this field.

ACE- Traductores 

Association whose aim is to defend the legal, financial and other rights of book translators.

Vértice Network. Spanish Network of Associations of Translators, Interpreters and Proofreaders

Noticeboard of the Spanish network of translators' associations. It contains various news items of interest.

Blog. Legal Translation and Comparative Law

Company created by a group of translators and lawyers. It compiles various sources of information such as lexicographical works, law and economics manuals, legal and economic translation manuals, etc.

European Commission. Directorate-General for Translation 

Responsible for translating written texts of the European Commission into the 23 official languages.

European Commission. Directorate-General for Interpretation 

The Commission's interpreting and conference organisation service. Reports to Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou. It provides quality interpretation at meetings organised by the Commission and the other institutions for which it works: the European Council, the Council of the Union, the Committee of the Regions, the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Investment Bank, and the agencies and offices of the Member States.

International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC) 

Based in Geneva, AIIC is the only association of conference interpreters in the world, with over 2,400 members on five continents.

Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs (FiT) 

International association that brings together more than 100 associations from 55 countries.
