CINAHL®Complete is the world's most comprehensive resource of publications in the field of nursing and allied health, with full text of more than 1,300 publications indexed in CINAHL. This archive contains the full text of many of the most consulted publications in the CINAHL index, with no limit to the number of issues.
Complete Freedom Collection (ELSEVIER)
The Elsevier Freedom Collection is a service that provides access to the full text of around 1,700 scientific, medical and technical journals belonging to the Elsevier Group.
Publishers included in the Freedom Collection include Academic Press, Pergamon, W. B. Saunders, Mosby, North Holland, Churchill Livingston, JAI and ESME.
This comprehensive nursing tool provides clinical resources in Spanish, including point-of-care reference material, nursing skills and procedures, patient education, and more. In addition, it includes more than 2,200 evidence-based care sheets and quick lessons; a growing set of nursing practices and skills; more than 4,000 patient education handouts (available in English and Spanish); and the latest medical news.

Provides information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, preclinical sciences, and much more. MEDLINE Complete uses the MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) index with trees, tree hierarchies, subheadings and expansion capabilities to search citations from over 5,400 current biomedical journals. It is the world's most comprehensive full-text source for more than 1,800 MEDLINE-indexed journals. Of these, more than 1,700 are fully indexed in MEDLINE, and of this subset, more than 900 are not found in full text in any version of Academic Search, Health Source or Biomedical Reference Collection. With coverage dating back to 1857 and full text dating back to 1865, MEDLINE Complete is the best research tool for medical materials.

Explores the links between the three standardised languages recognised by the Nursing profession; Nursing Diagnoses (NANDA), Outcome Classification (NOC) and Intervention Classification (NIC). It is a tool to help develop patient care plans, for nurse researchers to explore the associations between diagnoses, outcomes and interventions, along with patient and organisational characteristics that might influence the achievement of outcomes, and finally for managers and administrators to quantify and evaluate nursing care.

Free databases
Functions as a search engine for evidence-based medicine resources. The sources of this meta-search engine are PubMed articles, medical guidelines, systematic reviews, evidence-based synopses and other types of materials collected from various medical portals that aim to provide a quick, evidence-based answer to medical questions. You can search and filter the results or browse based on a ranking system. The service is free, although to access the full text you will need to have access to the full text. It also has a premium paid service with more options.
Europe PMC is a repository that provides access to articles, books, patents and guidelines and regulations in the fields of health sciences and biomedicine. It also links to relevant records from databases such as Uniprot, European Nucleotide Archive (ENA), Protein Data Bank Europe (PDBE) and BioStudies. Includes records from PubMed, US NHS and Agricola. More than 30 million records, of which more than 4 million are full text. Maintained by the European Bioinformatics Institute, which is part of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), an intergovernmental organisation. It also maintains citation control of collected publications and other value-added services.

Dictionary of Medical Terms / Royal National Academy of Medicine
It can be consulted from any device connected to the Internet. It includes all the terms included in the paper version, with the advantages provided by the electronic search. This electronic version has regular updates, corrections and improvements, and contents that complement those included in the paper version. The search menu allows the selection of different criteria, which enables each user to obtain the best results.
Portals and search engines
This is the search engine developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the National Library of Medicine (NLM) in the United States. It provides access to databases compiled by the NLM, such as MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE (composed of citations submitted by publishers), Genbak and Complete Genome.
It includes 16 million bibliographic references and abstracts of articles in medicine, biomedicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, public health, pre-clinical sciences and physiotherapy from the 1950s to the present day. It also offers numerous full-text articles.
PubMed also provides other options such as: Nucleotide (DNA sequences); Protein (amino acid sequences); Genome (genome citations and graphics); Structure (molecular structures in three dimensions); PubMed Central (free full-text digital files); Taxonomy (database with the names of all organisms represented in genetic databases); OMIN (database of human genes); Books (collection of full-text books).
BIBLIOTECA VIRTUAL EN SALUD (BVS) - SPAIN
The VHL integrates the national and thematic VHLs of Spain, Portugal and the Ibero-American countries, constituting one of the main international networks of access to sources of information in Health Sciences on the Internet.
VHL Spain allows access to different sources of scientific information in Health Sciences, such as: LILACS, IBECS, MEDLINE, The Cochrane Library, SciELO, etc.
semFYC is the federation that brings together the 17 Societies of Family and Community Medicine that exist in Spain and brings together around 20,000 specialists in Family Medicine.
Cantárida is a project of the Index Foundation that aims to establish an environment of scientific exchange between publishers, authors and readers. It is the virtual periodicals library of this foundation, which includes full-text journals and document collections of interest for health care that have an eminently scientific content. Access is free for registered users (free registration).
CUIDEN is a bibliographic database of the Index Foundation. It includes the scientific production of Spanish and Latin American nursing, both with clinical-care content and with methodological, historical, social or cultural approaches. It contains articles from scientific journals, books, monographs and unpublished materials. Access is free for registered users (free registration).
Database containing approximately 69,000 abstracts of books, reports, articles and audiovisual materials related to disability and rehabilitation research from NARIC, the National Rehabilitation Information Center. Each reference includes bibliographic information, a 250-word abstract, and information about the project and the institution that produced the document. Open, free and universal access.
