"This lecturer closes a chapter of her life, that of teaching, but through her veins will continue to run that indelible sap of passion for academia," said the dean during his speech. "Loyalty has been her great gift to Comillas Pontifical University. A loyalty that demands respect, tolerance, principles and axioms", he concluded.
During her speech, Adroher assured that, during her time at Comillas, "everything has been good"."To be a teacher is to be a privileged witness of the transformation of the students and to be a student is to be a relevant actor in this transformation. To teach is to light a fire, to kindle a light", she affirmed, quoting Plutarch.
Adroher has developed her career linked to Comillas. A graduate in Law from Comillas ICADE, she obtained her doctorate at the university, where she has taught and carried out her research career in the area of Private International Law. Throughout her long career, she has directed several individual and collective research projects, and has participated in various competitive projects (European, national R&D&I plan and private institutions) as well as those awarded directly by administrations and other entities.
Author of several publications (books, chapters and articles), she has participated with multiple conferences, papers and communications in congresses and conferences (national and international) in her main lines of research: Private International Law, Immigration Law and European Citizenship, Family Law and Children's Rights, International Protection of Minors and Adults and Family Support Policies.
At Comillas, she has served as director of the postgraduate university specialist in immigration, director of the University Institute of the Family, director of the Department of Private Law and vice-dean of International and Institutional Relations at the Faculty of Law. In recent years, she has been director of the Abanca Chair and Abanca Foundation on "Longevity: economy and society" and of the CUIDAR Chair. Outside the university, she has held positions of public relevance such as Director General for Family and Children's Services in the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.
