Summer School: Innovation in the 4th Industrial Revolution in a Globalised World

The 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR), also known as the digital revolution, is transforming the way businesses operate and compete globally. Innovation is a key part of this transformation. The speed of technological change has a huge influence on the growth prospects of companies: managers, entrepreneurs and investors in all sectors see how 4IR technologies can give them a strategic advantage. Technology is intended as a means to deliver greater economic, social and environmental value. The World Economic Forum (WEF) has dubbed the current technology boom "Innovations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)". It refers to innovations ranging from rapid advances in artificial intelligence and robotics to the Internet of Things (IoT), nanotechnology and quantum computing.
