Awards ceremony for the best End of Degree Projects in Business Administration and Business Analytics presented in the 2022-23 academic year

Eight students received awards for their projects from the sponsoring companies

End of Degree Projects demonstrate the ability to put into practice what has been learned during the academic experience, as defined by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (Comillas ICADE), Mª Teresa Corzo, at the presentation of awards and diplomas for the best End of Degree Projects in Business Administration and Management and in Business Analytics. In a ceremony presided over by the Rector of Comillas Pontifical University, Enrique Sanz, SJ, accompanied by the Dean and Francisco Borrás, assistant collaborator of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (Comillas ICADE).

A meeting marked by innovation, rigour and the effort that each of the students put into their projects.

The ACCENTURE award "Estrategia empresarial para el trabajador conectado" went to Inés Gómez Fortis, for her work "Data Analytics and Machine Learning Applied to Insurance. Leveraging Machine Learning to Enhance customer acquisition Strategy". The project was directed by Lecturer María Coronado Vaca.

The Agrupación de Madrid del ICJCE awarded the prize "La información financiera en los mercados de capitales y en el progreso económico" to Mar González Hernández for her work entitled "Estudio económico y cuantitativo de Bitcoin en el año 2023 y comparativa de cripto – robots" directed by Luis Ángel Calvo Pascual.

Alanah Gargan received the AQUANIMA TFG award "Área de la Gestión de las Compras o en Gestión de la Cadena de suministros" for her work entitled: "Evaluating the potential of reshoring APIS to strengthen pharmaceutical supply chain resilience: an exploratory study" directed by Manuel Morales Contreras.

The EY "Big data and analytics in corporate operations" award went to Tomás Pérez Gutiérrez for his work entitled: "A novel driver identification approach leveraging smartphone sensor data with autoencoders" directed by María Coronado Vaca. On the other hand, the second EY award "Big data y analytics en operaciones corporativas" went to Ignacio Divassón González for his work entitled: "Viabilidad de negocio de un servicio de machine learning as a service" directed by Carlos Bellón Núñez-Mera.

The project entitled "Transformación del sector eléctrico hacia un modelo descarbonizado: movilidad sostenible o hidrógeno verde", carried out by María de las Mercedes Viudes Sánchez and directed by Isabel Figuerola Ferretti, received the IBERDROLA “Transformación del sector eléctrico hacia un modelo descarbonizado: movilidad sostenible o hidrógeno verde” award.

Finally, Management Solutions awarded the "Data analysis and data science" prize to Carlota López Argote for her work entitled "Implementación de un sistema de alerta para la prevención de accidentes automovilísticos por medio de detección de cansancio en conductores" directed by José María Benito Peñalba. In addition, the company awarded the second award "Data analysis and data science" to Javier Villacampa Porta for his work entitled "Application of NLP techniques to the analysis of climate risks disclosure by financial and non-financial companies" directed by Ms. María Coronado Vaca.
