The Piensa y Actúa en Positivo Project wins an award at the ISPS International Conference 2024

The researchers of the "Piensa y Actúa en Positivo" project, Rocío Caballero and Vanesa Peinado, together with the student of the Master in General Health Psychology and collaborator of the project, Ana Vucic, attended the 23rd edition of the ISPS International Conference 2024 organised by ISPS (The International Society for Psychological and Social Approaches to Psychosis), where the first results of the project promoted by the Clinical Psychology Unit (UNINPSI) of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas and AMAFE were presented and awarded.

Held at Aalto University in Helsinki, the title of this year's conference was "Need Adapted Care for Psychosis - the Power of Human Interaction". Broadly speaking, the conference is intended for clinicians from a variety of professions who deal with people with psychosis, people with their own experiences of psychosis and their families. The aim is to create a space to share and explore different psychological and social perspectives on psychosis, as well as different treatments or interventions that are being carried out in different parts of the world with the intention of improving the lives of people with psychosis.

The Piensa y Actúa en Positivo (PA+) programme is a group therapy designed to promote wellbeing in people affected by a severe mental disorder. The programme is currently being implemented in the resources of the social care network for people with mental illness in the Community of Madrid, Castilla la Mancha and Valencia, and a study is being carried out in collaboration with the AMAFE Association to evaluate its impact. The project is funded by the Social Observatory of the "la Caixa" Foundation, as part of the second edition of the Conecta Call.
