Comillas held a new edition of the Solidarity Cross, an event that once again united sport and social commitment on the Cantoblanco campus and which brought together more than 220 runners from the university community. The race consisted of a 5.7 kilometre run.

In the men's category, the podium was formed by Marcos Oñate, from the Universidad Autónoma; Eduardo Lozano, from the Universidad Europea; and Zena Sáez, from CUNEF; while in the women's category the winners were Jimena Camarero, from the Universidad Autónoma; Aitana Abrante, from the Universidad Carlos III; and Ariana Bretones, from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. The Universidad Autónoma took the podium in the team competition.
The organisation of the event counted on the collaboration of the students of CAFYD and the "San Juan de Dios" University School of Nursing and Physical Therapy , who helped throughout the day. In addition, the Cross received sponsorship from: Chef Fruit, La Casa, Supermercados La Despensa, P&G, Clarins, MACRON and YSONDOS, whose contribution made the celebration of this initiative possible.
The nature of the event was very present: half of the proceeds from the registrations will be donated to Comillas Solidaria to support the Red Cross project "Humanitarian crisis in the Middle East: Gaza Strip and Lebanon". In addition, a "zero row" was set up so that those who wished to do so could make additional contributions, the full amount of which will be donated to the cause.
This event once again showed that, at Comillas, sport is also a way of building community and of committing to causes that transcend the campus.
