David Sainz, a student in the 3rd year of the Degree in Nursing at the San Juan de Dios University School of Nursing and Physiotherapy - Comillas (EUEF), has been awarded the Prize for Best Amateur Short Film at the fifth edition of the Hygeia Awards, the Nursing and Physiotherapy Short Film Festival organised by FUDEN.
His work, entitled "Silence", delicately addresses one of the most pressing social problems: unwanted loneliness in the elderly, highlighting the essential role played by Nursing in accompaniment, care and active listening.
The Hygeia Festival, whose central theme is Nursing and Physiotherapy in all its dimensions, rewards the works that make the value of these professions visible. The finalists are selected by a jury made up of nurses and experts from the world of cinema and theatre, which further highlights David's merit in winning this award.
This recognition highlights David's great work and his ability to link the healthcare field with other forms of artistic expression, contributing to the visibility of the profession and its impact on society.
