Last Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the Professor of the Faculty of Theology, Jaime Tatay, SJ, PhD, gave a lecture on "Nature conservation and dynamics of the sacred" for the students of the Ecclesiastical and other faculties of the University of Navarra, organised by the group Science, Reason and Faith (CRyF).
Professor Tatay's conference focused on the role of the sacred in the conservation of nature, delving into the interaction between Conservation Biology, Land Management and Theology as a particular case of science-religion dialogue.
Professor Jaime Tatay Nieto belongs to the Department of Moral Theology and Praxis of Christian Life, is a Forestry Engineer and PhD in Theology, and co-director of the Hana and Francisco José Ayala Chair of Science, Technology and Religion. He is an expert in environmental ethics, sustainability and the social doctrine of the Church.
