Comillas and Uría Menéndez promote scholarships for young people with a legal vocation

The Faculty of Law (Comillas ICADE) and the law firm Uría Menéndez have signed a collaboration agreement for the creation of the "Talento Público Uría Menéndez" scholarships, aimed at incoming students at the Faculty of Law. The aim is to support young people with academic excellence and legal vocation who lack financial resources, reinforcing the social commitment of the firm and the university to accessible and quality education.

Each scholarship will have a maximum annual amount of 15,000 euros and will be aimed at students of programmes such as Law (E-1), Law and Business Administration (E-3), Law and Business Analytics (E-3 Analytics), Law and International Relations (E-5), and Law, Philosophy, Politics and Economics (E-5 FIPE). Selection criteria include an outstanding academic record (minimum grade of 9) and a rigorous economic assessment based on family income, assets and employment status.

The agreement strengthens the link between the academic and professional worlds, promoting equal opportunities in access to higher education. It will be valid for one year and renewable and provides for the allocation of two scholarships per academic year with a joint contribution of 30,000 euros per year. The selection of beneficiaries will be carried out by a joint committee between the two institutions.
