Carolina Montero, PhD, Alumni of Theology, awarded the International Prize of the Foundation 'Centessimus Annus pro Pontifice'

The Centessimus Annus pro Pontifice Foundation of the Holy See has awarded the work of our Alumni, Carolina Montero, PhD, Vulnerabilidad. Hacia una Ética más humana ( Dykinson 2022, ISBN: 9788411221467), with the Foundation Prize.

Dr. Montero will be awarded with the International Prize Economy and Society, in its sixth edition, thanks to her published research that includes her doctoral thesis. The award ceremony will take place next Tuesday, 27 February, in Rome, and will be presided over by the Vatican Secretary of State, His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, and will be attended by the president of the jury that awarded Dr. Montero, His Eminence Cardinal Reinhard Marx, Archbishop of Munich and Freising.

Carolina Montero Orphanopoulos, a former student of the Faculty of Theology at Comillas, holds a PhD in Moral Theology from Comillas Pontifical University, with a thesis directed by the Professor of the Faculty of Theology Javier de la Torre, PhD, and entitled "Vulnerability. Towards a more Human Ethics". She also studied a Master's Degree in Bioethics at the same Faculty and is currently a researcher and lecturer at the Catholic University Silva Henríquez (Santiago de Chile) on vulnerability, bioethics and the Church.

The Faculty of Theology at Comillas celebrates and congratulates Montero, PhD, a former student, for this recognition.
