24 hours in the life of a Jesuit at university

Premiere of a documentary on the intellectual apostolate of the Society of Jesus, with lecturer Jaime Tatay, SJ

Captura del documental 24 horas con un jesuita en la univesidad

3 October 2024

The Society of Jesus in Spain, through its project Ser Jesuita, has produced the documentary 24 horas en la vida de un jesuita en la universidad, which follows the daily life of Jaime Tatay, SJ, at Comillas Pontifical University. In the first episode, now available on YouTube, entitled "The long tradition of the intellectual apostolate", we see a day of his life on campus, and hear the voices of university colleagues, community members and students.

The testimony of other Jesuits who carried out their mission at Comillas allows us to trace a journey through the intellectual apostolate from its origins, and to become aware that the Society of Jesus was born out of the relationships established by some friends in the university environment of Paris in the first half of the 16th century.
