24th Annual Meeting "LET'S BUILD THE FUTURE".
"24th Annual Entreculturas Meeting: United to build a just and sustainable future on 4-6 October".
9 October 2024
From 4 to 6 October, the NGDO Entrecullturas held its 24th Annual Meeting at the Casa Sagrados Corazones, in El Escorial, Madrid. Under the slogan "LET'S BUILD THE FUTURE", this event brought together volunteers and employees of the organisation in a space for training and reflection, with the aim of addressing the most urgent global challenges in 2024.
This year the focus was on five key areas: the right to education, forced human mobility, gender equality, socio-environmental justice and citizen participation. These central themes for Entreculturas were discussed through various activities and round tables, with the aim of identifying challenges, reflecting on current issues and seeking solutions through cooperation and social commitment.
One of the round tables counted with the participation of Raquel Verdasco Martínez, pre-doctoral researcher of the IUEM Chair on Refugees and Forced Migrants, who shared her experience at the expert table addressing issues on Socio-Environmental Justice and Human Mobility.
