What is the Master?
The Master's Degree in General Health Psychology and Master's Degree in Psychology with a Specialisation in Therapeutic Psychology is aimed at graduates and undergraduates in Psychology who wish to acquire skills in assessment, diagnosis and intervention in the field of health psychology, and who wish to do so from a plural perspective that takes into account different empirically contrasted approaches. This plural training in the main theoretical approaches to psychology will provide students with a complete, global and integrative training when it comes to approaching and intervening in the area of clinical and health psychology.
In the second year, the program offers a wide range of optional subjects allowing students to choose a training itinerary that will enable them not only to complete the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology, but also to specialise in an area of clinical intervention and obtain the Master's Degree in Therapeutic Specialisation.
In this second year, students can specialise in systemic family therapy, humanistic therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy with children and adolescents.

The Tutored Professional Internships provide students of the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology with the opportunity to apply the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in the other subjects of the Master's Degree. They also allow students to immerse themselves in the reality of clinical practice in one of the more than 65 health centres with which the Master's has signed agreements. Students will progressively acquire the necessary professional experience that will provide them with greater maturity for the practice of their profession.

Timetables and exams
Classroom classes will be held 3 days a week (mornings and afternoons) and attendance is compulsory.
Work placements will take place in the mornings and/or afternoons in the time slots that do not coincide with the face-to-face classes.
Students are required to be available to attend theory classes and to carry out the practicals in the centres offered.
1st year students will be assigned STRICTLY randomly to the two class groups:
- Group 1: Classroom classes will be held on Monday and Tuesday mornings (from 9.00 to 14.15) and on Wednesdays from 12.00 to 20.45. The student must have the rest of the time available to do the internship (most of the internships are done in the afternoon).
- Group 2: Classroom classes will be held on Thursday and Friday mornings (from 9.00 to 14.15) and on Wednesdays from 12.00 to 20.45. The student must have the rest of the time available for the internship (most of the internships take place in the afternoon).
In the 2nd year of the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology and the Master's Degree in Therapeutic Specialisation, theory classes and practicals will continue to be held in the morning and afternoon. In order to study the Master's degree full-time, it is essential to have ample time available, both in the mornings and afternoons.
The Master's Degree in Therapeutic Specialisation will be completed from September to December in the mornings and afternoons.

Because Comillas studies are in high demand and places are limited, the best candidates have to be selected through admission tests.
Each class has its own tutor, whose function is to integrate the student into the group and to pay attention to their academic performance. Furthermore, at Comillas, the teaching system is distinguished, among other characteristics, by the personalised attention and the fluid and permanent relationship between teachers and students.
The teaching system at Comillas is especially oriented towards the relationship with the reality of companies, institutions, organisations and professional practice. The Internship and Employment Office is responsible for providing students with internships related to their studies in order to enrich their training. In the 2017-18 academic year, 6,296 student internships in companies were managed.
In addition to these internships managed by the Internship and Employment Office, all degree courses have a significant number of compulsory external internships as part of their curriculums.The Internship and Employment Office informs, guides and collaborates in the insertion in the labour market of recent graduates or in the projection of the professional career of Comillas graduates, for which it has an online tool that puts candidates in direct contact with 5,078 companies with which Comillas maintains a relationship. During the 2017-18 academic year, 1,838 job offers were managed. Of the total number of graduates from the 2018 graduating class, 93.22% are employed, either working or furthering their studies, within six months of completing their studies.
