PackBenefit's CEO and founder participates in a new "Breakfast with CEO"
Philippe Févre ha destacado que “estar abierto a la transformación es la mejor forma de seguir aprendiendo”
22 January 2024
In a unique industrial and technological business environment, the first "Breakfast with CEOs" of the year was held, organised by the Comillas ICAI Chair for Smart Industry. On this occasion, Philippe Fèvre, CEO and founder of PackBenefit, shared his professional career, under the watchful eye of those present, among whom were the rector of the university, Enrique Sanz, SJ, and other members of the university's governing team, as well as representatives of the patron companies.
During his speech, the founder of PackBenefit recounted the beginnings of his company and how in "2013, following a crazy invention, we decided to make a plastic substitute packaging and we started to develop the product, what we call moulded cellulose."
As Fèvre pointed out, after "four or five years of dedicating a huge R&D effort to create the product, a second problem arose as there was no machinery that could produce the new product. Once we had created the product and created the technology to manufacture it, we found ourselves at a point where the market was not open to a product like this, because it didn't know about it".
"The transformation axes begin at this point. Knowing all this, we wanted to rethink our existence, redefine PackBenefit and transform this project into a company. We started to make a very deep strategic transformation, defining what we wanted to be", he noted.
In his speech, Févre highlighted a piece of advice he received from Bernardo Villazán, co-director of the Chair for Smart Industry, together with Mariano Ventosa, and in charge of introducing the guest, who told him: "never stop learning". A phrase that has been with him in his day to day and that he has remembered in every challenge he has had to face.
