Comillas Pontifical University held a meeting with the writer Ana Santos on the occasion of the presentation of her book Sembrar palabras: el despertar intelectual de las mujeres (Sowing words: the intellectual awakening of women) as part of the Women's Month Program, organised under the slogan "Mujeres que te inspiran" (Women who inspire you). The event, promoted by Comillas Arte and Comillas Solidaria, was conceived as a space for reflection, dialogue and inspiration open beyond the university community.

The session began by highlighting the meaning of this Program: to give visibility to women of reference and to generate meeting spaces where "to stop, to allow oneself to be questioned and to construct shared thought". In this context, the collaborative nature of the event was underlined, the result of joint work between teams and students, especially from the Frontiers Club and the group of pre-doctoral researchers from the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT), who actively participated in the preparation of the colloquium.

During the dialogue, led by students from both groups, the author explained the origin of her work, born of a key question: why the presence of women in historical catalogues is so limited. From there, Sowing Words goes through more than five centuries of history to show how access to education, reading and writing has been a determining factor in the construction of women's thought. "We live from the stories we inherit, and transforming them requires generations", Santos pointed out.

The meeting highlighted the role of libraries and culture as spaces for the democratisation of knowledge, as well as the importance of "sowing words" as an engine for change. In the words of the author, each shared idea and each written text contributes to a constantly evolving collective narrative, capable of generating new ways of thinking and inhabiting the world.

The session concluded with an open dialogue with the audience, reaffirming the university's vocation as a space not only for the transmission of knowledge, but also for inspiration, encounter and social transformation.
