Henley-on-Thames, UK - [Insert Date] – The Comillas DBA program proudly participated in the EDBAC Annual International Conference on Engaged Management Scholarship, an event that brings together leaders in executive doctoral programs and management research from around the world. This year's conference was held in the picturesque Henley-on-Thames, near London, providing a beautiful setting for intellectual exchange and networking.

One of the highlights of the event was the recognition of Carlos Gómez Múgica, a distinguished alumni of the DBA in Management and Technology program at Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Carlos received the Best Practitioner Paper award, celebrating his outstanding contribution to engaged management research. His paper, based on his DBA thesis, presented the results of Carlos's study about employee satisfaction and value creation. The conference committee highlighted the potential impact of the research's conclusions and the insights derived from integrating datasets extracted from different sources, as well as Carlos' excellent presentation and clarity.

“I am delighted for receiving this award and this is a tremendous stimulus to continue being involved in engaged research”, said Carlos Gómez-Múgica.

He was accompanied by Carlos Bellón and Javier Morales, representing the direction of the DBA program and the School of Postgraduate Studies and Lifelong Learning. Carlos Bellón expressed his satisfaction: “We are extremely proud of our students' achievements, and we work together with them to ensure the highest level of excellence in scholar-practitioner research that truly impacts society, such as Carlos' work"

The conference offered an invaluable opportunity for doctoral students, alumni, faculty, staff, and managers to come together, share insights, and participate in stimulating keynote speeches and interactive sessions. As a forum dedicated to evidence-based management and engaged scholarship, the event continues to foster a global exchange of ideas and best practices.

The Executive DBA Council (EDBAC), founded in 2011, is dedicated to promoting excellence in executive doctoral programs worldwide. Through initiatives such as the EMS Conference, EDBAC provides educational and networking opportunities for professionals in this field, including directors, academics, administrators, and students. By facilitating collaboration and sharing knowledge, the Council plays a crucial role in advancing the professional development of individuals and supporting the continuous improvement of executive doctoral programs globally.
