| Strategic Communication Skills: Framing, Writing & Storytelling | Framing, writing and narrating the message are the competences that will be worked on in this subject. The student will learn to design a frame of reference or context in which to frame the communicative message in order to qualify or intentionally condition the understanding and interpretation of the message. They will be able to turn a message into a specific story, intended for a specific audience at a specific time and in a specific environment. To this end, he/she will have learned to express yourself in writing in a clear, concise and target-oriented manner. The practical exercise of writing and revision is based on the in-depth analysis of texts of paradigmatic quality, of different types and typology. |
| Gender and sexist language in advertising and the media | This course explores the intersection between gender and language in the field of advertising and the media, with a particular focus on the Spanish context. Throughout the course, we will analyse how the representations of gender in advertising and the media influence the perception and construction of gender roles in society, as well as their evolution. |
| Imagining Spain - A History of Anglo-American Literature about Spain | This course consists of a comparative and contrastive study of how Anglo-American writers from various cultures and eras have represented Spain in their texts. The writers whose work we will study include Richard Ford, George Borrow, Washington Irving, Ernest Hemingway, John Dos Passos, George Orwell, Gerald Brenan, Laurie Lee and other contemporary authors such as Michael Jacobs, Chris Stewart and Jason Webster. The overall aim is to familiarize students with the vast amount of literature that has been produced in English about Spain, its history and its culture. The expected outcome is that they will be able to produce their own critical and/or critical work on this subject. |
| Intercultural Communication | This subject aims to develop intercultural communication skills, using a sociolinguistic and anthropological approach. Course content is provided from a critical, comparative and eminently practical point of view to introduce students to intercultural communication by means of simulations, critical incidents, and student research. Activities will be contextualized with reference to recent literature in the field. |
| Exile and Migration in World Literature | The course analyses the parallel phenomena of exile and migration in world literature, beginning with a theoretical introduction and including several case studies from different literary cultures. |
| Content and language integrated learning | The Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) course equips future Early and Primary Childhood Education teachers with bilingual teaching strategies, focusing on integrating curricular content with English language learning. It emphasizes lesson planning, ICT materials development and GenAI integration in bilingual education, inclusive practices and scaffolding, and formative and summative assessment within bilingual education framework. |

La inscripción estará abierta del 5 de diciembre al 7 de enero para los cursos ofrecidos por la Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
Para el reconocimiento de créditos de los cursos del European Track dentro de tu plan de estudios, deberás contactar con la oficina o coordinador/a de movilidad o asuntos internacionales de tu universidad de origen. Ellos te guiarán en el proceso y te informarán de los requisitos para la convalidación.
