Guidelines for the author's signature
Library guidelines
The library recommends following the rules used in its catalogue.
The author's own decision is respected:
- Reflect both surnames, as is common in Spain: Both surnames are indicated followed by a comma and the author's full name plus prepositions accompanying the first surname, or prepositions and articles. E.g. Surname Surname, Name1 Name2 - (Martínez Martínez, Julio Luis)
- a single surname or a first name with initial. E.g. Ramírez, Pedro J.
In the library's catalogue of authorities all the variants of the author's names in the different databases, profiles and identifiers are reflected.
You can also consult the profile of the university researchers.
FECYT recommendations
- Standardisation of authorship and institutions in scientific publications / FECYT. [SPA]
- IraLis (International Registry for Authors Links to Identify Scientists). System for standardising the signatures of scientific authors, the aim of which is to create a register of authorities.
